The 2005 Swedish Warmblood filly by LA Baltic Sundance and out of Lusty Gambler (aka Sandi), "Cassidy" has quickly shown herself to be an outstanding example of her breed. "Butch" is the foal of Gloria (see below) and LA Baltic Sundance. (For more information about this sire, please visit the Halifax Farm web site.) He was foaled at Castle Farm on April 20th, and is spirited yet friendly. He will walk right up to you without any hesitation. He has been imprinted and is handled daily. With his long, graceful neck and strong looking legs, he would make a fabulous eventing or dressage horse.
| Sierra 1997 blanket chestnut reg. Appaloosa mare |
Price: $5000(price includes bridle and turnout blanket) |
Sierra is an 11 yr old, 15.1H blanket chestnut, registered Appaloosa mare. She has a super smooth w/t/c. She is sound, UTD on coggins w/ no health issues. We keep shoes on her front b/c we ride on gravel a lot. She does not buck or bolt. Her transitions are good. She has had some dressage training in the past. Will come into frame and go on bit well at walk and trot - needs work at the canter. She leg yields well. Can half pass and turn on the forehand. Jumps 2'consistently at the trot, has jumped 2'6". Tends to get a little fast at the canter over jumps but once consistent then slows down. She has been used in some lessons. She is great with advanced beginners. She is great w/ intermediate riders who will have more fun w/her. She does work to the level of the rider. Good with other horses in the ring and on trails, will lead or follow. She loves to trail ride. She crosses water w/o difficulty. She will ride alone or w/ others w/o difficulty. When w/ others likes to keep up but she can be held back. She has great endurance even when not ridden consistently. She is the same horse whether ridden daily or every other week. She is very level headed. She is head of our pasture of 5 horses. She is not aggressive, just pins her ears to let everyone know she means business. Easy to catch, comes right to you in the pasture and ground manners are excellent. Comes w/ bridle and turnout blanket. Price $5000

Gloria is by the Hanoverian sire Golfball, and currently has a colt to LA Baltic Sundance, the sire of "Cassidy", at her side. (For more information about this sire, please visit the Halifax Farm web site.) She has been started under saddle and in harness. As a foal, Gloria scored a 7.9 at inspection. She is built like a powerhouse, with very strong hindquarters and a confident personality. She would make a great dressage, driving, or event horse. There are several videos of her early days under saddle and driving.

He has also been out on the trails and over some low jumps. He is also started in harness to drive. He goes quietly at the trot in the ring, in the field and even on the road. He also walks quietly, halts and backs. He is UTD on everything. He would make an excellent children’s hunter or driving pony. | Sydney 1996 bay Thoroughbred mare |
![]() Price: $5,000.00 negotiable |
Note from the trainer - "Sydney is a sweet, pretty 11 year old, 15.3hh TB mare who loves to jump and hack out, and has potential as a C hunter or an eventer. She needs alot more muscling and currently has trouble taking the left canter lead consistently. She'll jump well for a confident, balanced rider who keeps a steady leg on her, but she is not for a beginner jumper. I have had her at the farm for a friend of a friend who is moving to Toronto and needs to find a good home for Syd. The owner originally had been asking 5K but this is highly negotiable and we are looking for a quick sale and will consider all offers. This could be a nice project horse." (9/23/07)
| "Lil Missy Rojo" 1990 sorrel AQHA mare |
![]() Price: $5000 |
"Lil" is a 17yr old registered Quarter Horse who is bred and trained for cutting. (Please click here to see her papers.) She has also made a wonderful brood mare. The owner is selling due to his own health reasons, and is looking for a good home for this sweet mare. She has also been trail-ridden, and would make a wonderful companion.
| Jesse 1999 bay Thoroughbred gelding |
Price: $5000 |
Update on Jesse: Jesse has been working with a new trainer for 3 weeks, and "she thinks Jesse is amazing!" The trainer also said that "she has worked with TBs for decades, and that Jesse is the calmest, sweetest, TB she has ever worked with. He is bomb-proof - nothing ever spooks him. She also loves his gaits -especially his canter. He is the kind of horse that everyone stops to watch - absolutely a gorgeous mover!"
Update on Jesse: Jesse previously did dressage and light jumping but then spent 6 months out in the pasture while looking for a new rider. He spent the summer getting back in shape so he is just starting back over fences. He does not bolt or rush the jumps, and he has jumped around 3 feet on trails. He longes, long lines, and rides beautifully in a snaffle. He could care less about cars, cows, deer, dogs, or other distractions! Jesse is 16.1hh and a big mover with a long stride and flat kneed action. He is quiet, sensible, and adores being around people. He is currently pasture kept, but he is a light cribber, but only if given the opportunity. He has no other vices and no lameness problems. Jesse has great potential and is ready to be your best friend and new show partner! Click here to see more pics of Jesse.
Message from the owner: "We bought Jesse last year for my daughter, but they just did not work out for each other. Jesse has sat (basically without being ridden) for about 6 months now. Prior to that, he was in excellent shape, had show experience with basic dressage, English, jumping, and hacking on trails. He is EXTREMELY sweet and gentle and just loves attention. He definitely needs a tune-up now. My daughter, who is a decent rider but is only 13, was not used to Jesse's very forward movement (typical TB) as our other horses are gaited trail horses. Jesse is way too good of a horse to sit in the pasture/stall, which is all he is doing here with us. I really want to be sure that he finds a home with someone that will use him and love him - he is a terrific horse; we are heartbroken that he did not work out for Kimberly!"
| Baltic Hartwin 2004 chestnut Swedish Warmblood gelding |
![]() **SOLD!** |
"Hartwin" is currently 15'2hh but still growing. He is by LA Baltic Sundance and out of Lusty Gambler, full brother to CF Baltic Royal Flush (also for sale). He was inspected and branded by the Swedish Warmblood registry as a yearling. He is green broke to ride, he lunges, has good ground manners, is a fast learner and has the wonderful Sundance disposition. Hartwin is lifetime registered with USDF, USEF and the National Equestrian Federation. He would make an excellent dressage, combined training or eventing prospect.
| Jo Jo's Secret 1998 chestnut Paint/Thoroughbred mare |
![]() **SOLD!** |

| Tease The Girls 2002 registered appendix QH bay gelding |
![]() **SOLD!** |
"Tease the Girls" is solidly trained at walk, trot and canter. He has also been trail ridden, and is very comfortable. He goes through water and over ditches without a problem. He is started over crossrails and has good lead changes. "Teaser" is very willing and very quiet. (11/24/06)
| Rose 2000 Arab/Welsh grey mare |
![]() **SOLD!** |
"Rose" is trained in dressage and jumping, but may need some "refresher" work. She is 14.1hh and somewhat spirited, but very sweet. She would be perfect for a young girl with riding experience. Her sale price includes all her tack which is new and top of the line. Rose is up to date on all vaccines and coggins. The owner's job has changed and she has to put in more hours to meet added responsibilities....she just doesn't have the time to invest. (6/3/07)
| Dodi 2004 TB/Percheron bay mare |
**SOLD!** |
|
Update from Martin Williams on Dodi and Ellen (3/15/08): Ellen & Dodi went to the Johnston County Show today. They rode in 6 classes and ribboned in 5 of them! They had a ball and Dodi is a joy. Thanks for all your help. (you can click here to see a pic of Dodi and Ellen)
Congratulations to Ellen Williams who is Dodi's new owner. Ellen is looking to start eventing and loved Dodi's bold style over fences. Hopefully, we will see this team at the horse trials soon!
Update on Dodi (2/16/08) Dodi went to her first horse trials and competed at maiden level. She did very well, despite being a little nervous (she didn't do anything ugly or unmanageable, she just lacked a little confidence). By the end of the show, she had started to figure out what she was doing and finished on a really good note. Here is a video from the show, including her dressage test (where she thought she was supposed to jump over the poles at first), parts of her cross country and her stadium. She jumped really well, and should do even better the next time. |
Update on Dodi (2/3/08) - Dodi went on her first foxhunt today. She kept up with the field without getting crazy. She stood nice and still when we had to wait and she jumped every 4 foot ditch we came across (about 7 of them). All in all, she was a great ride!
"Dodi" is a solid 16hh and very sweet. She is comfortable going at the walk, trot and canter and will easily pick up both leads. She goes through water and over ditches without hesitation, and is very comfortable on the trail. A 4yo girl has ridden Dodi out on trails. She is currently working over 2' jumps of all types and really enjoys her work. Dodi stands tied and for the farrier, she loads on a trailer easily and stands to be clipped, even her ears, with no problem. She is very easy to work with and an easy keeper as well!(11/20/06)
| Baltic Freedom 2002 Swedish Warmblood bay mare |
![]() **SOLD!** |
**Update from Polly on Libby (11/12/07): I thought you would enjoy seeing these photos of Libby at the Scott Hassler clinic. (don't look too closely at me!) She was SO good at the clinic. These photos were taken on Saturday (she was a bit distracted). By Sunday, she was REALLY good (unfortunately, there are no pictures from the Sunday rides). On Sunday she was going MUCH MUCH better and I was riding better. I was a bit nervous on Saturday and I hate how collapsed my hip is in the leg yield photos, but doesn't Libby look nice? I was really happy to get the opportunity to ride her in the clinic. (Pictures can be seen at http://www.photobiz.com/portfolio/layouts/1/gallery.cfm?galleryID=147204&eventID=100600).
**Update from Polly on Libby: "Great news! Libby has been selected for the Scott Hassler clinic Nov.3&4. She is doing great. She is a quick learner and so sweet."
Congratulations to Polly Yeago on her purchase of Baltic Freedom. We look forward to seeing this pair moving up the levels at the dressage shows!
Previously, "Libby" had been with Castle Farm for a few months, and had been quietly started under saddle. She walks, trots and canters and is also going over small jumps. Libby is also free-jumping up to 4'. She is very easy to work with, stands well in the cross-ties and for the farrier, loads, clips and bathes. She has no vices. Libby should make a wonderful hunter or dressage prospect. She has recently been to her first show and placed very well earning a 4th out of 9, a 9th out of 27 and a 1st out of 11. Libby also attended the Swedish Warmblood inspection, being judged in the 3-4 year old test. She received 9's on her free jumping technique and free jumping temperament. The inspectors strongly encourage her to become a jumping horse. They also gave her an 8 on her canter, saying that it was the nicest canter they had seen so far. Libby received Class 1 status at the inspection.
