Schuyler (pronounced like "Skyler") is the old man of Castle Farm, the self-proclaimed "head of the herd". He is great with children, and has the patience of Job. He is only 11.2 hands (46 inches) tall, which makes him a favorite among children. He is also a celebrity at the NC State University Vet Hospital, since Schuyler was used as a study horse, when he was first born, for fescue toxicosis.

The 2005 Swedish Warmblood filly by LA Baltic Sundance and out of Lusty Gambler (aka Sandi), "Cassidy" has quickly shown herself to be an outstanding example of her breed. At her first show, she won three championships, including the SWANA (Swedish Warmblood Association of North America) High Scorer award for scoring more points than any other Swedish Warmblood at the show of any age. At her inspection, she received the highest ranking possible for a Swedish Warmblood: Class 1. She is currently competing in dressage and schooling over fences. You can check out some of her videos by clicking on the training page and scrolling down to her name.

"Butch" is a 2007 Swedish Warmblood colt by LA Baltic Sundance and out of Gloria RSH (aka Gloria). He has shed out to a lovely dark bay color with no white markings to tarnish his coat. He has legs like "tree trunks" according to Suzin Daly (the stallion's owner), and should make a wonderful hunter/jumper prospect. Butch is currently up for sale. You can find out more about his sales information and see videos of him on the sales page of this website.

He has a great future here at Castle Farm! You can click here to check out a video of Cisco at his first show. He acted like he does at home and just took it all in. He won his jumper class as well!

Solie belongs to Heather's mother, Liz Murphy, and is on loan to Castle Farm as a lesson horse. He fills our need for a big, solid lesson horse. He has the temperament of a Western horse but the skills of an English horse, as well as a love for jumps. He has also shown himself to be a very good show horse, and has taken several riders to awards through the years.

Sandi has changed ownership but still remains at Castle Farm - yeah!! Sandi is loved by many, but especially her new owner Dominique. Sandi is a really good jumper and likes to go fast - probably why Dominique likes her so much. This pair is looking to come out in the eventing world, so watch out!

Clyde is Ashley's new mount. He is a nice, big gelding with a sweet temperament. He is young and green, but definitely willing. He has a "will try" attitude and really nice dressage movement. With a little work, Clyde has a great eventing career ahead of him!

Bella and her owner Lisa are the newest members to the Castle Farm program. Bella is an ex-racehorse turned eventer. She won $50,000 at the track before she was sold to a girl in Virginia. Lisa then bought her and put her in training for eventing. Lisa comments, "Bella loves to jump and is a lot of fun to ride. She is a beautiful mover and will score well with dressage. Other than that I would say she is the best horse I have ever worked with. She is very sweet and a fast learner. She is very willing and does not have a mean bone in her body." We look forward to having Bella on the farm!

He was purchased as a resale project and is a real sweet heart! He has a great temperament and really nice movement too! He should make someone a really nice horse.

Name: | Lord Kerberos of Knightdale | Tara's Sassi Scarlett |
| AKA: | "Kerbie" | "Sassi" | |
| Stats: | 2001 Catahoula male (N) | 1995 Chow-chow female (S) | |
| Purpose: | Associate guard dog and homeowner's nightmare | Guard dog, lap dog, alarm clock |
Sassi is our barn dog. She gets along great with everyone (some guard dog) except Jack and Kerbie. :) Sassi has also recently become our mascot at horse shows. I never used to believe in taking a dog to shows, I just thought they would get in the way, but Sassi started begging me - to point of getting in the car and not moving, or standing in front of the truck when she thinks I am about to leave for a horse show. So now, Sassi goes on every horse excursion with us - she is very patient at the trailer and loves the ride! Kerbie is our other barn dog. His name comes from a Greek version of the mythological guard dog Cerberus (who the Harry Potter character "Fluffy" was based on), and so far, he's only got one head.

Name: Jack |
| AKA: TCFAI (The Cat Formerly Allowed Inside) | |
| Stats: ~1998 Domestic shorthair male (N) | |
| Purpose: Barn cat, example to misbehaving cats everywhere |
Jack once enjoyed the luxuries of being an indoor cat, but he started the bad hobby of chewing photographs and breaking collectibles that happen to be within reach. So, he was banished to the barn, where he lives "la vida sucia" (the dirty life) with the other residents of Castle Farm. As he gets older, I have decided to allow him access to our barn lounge (which has heat and AC). It has since been dedicated as "Jack's Lounge".

Name: Morgan |
| AKA: | |
| Stats: 2006 Domestic shorthair female (S) | |
| Purpose: Barn kitten, traveling companion, show companion |
Morgan was the last kitten to be adopted from a litter of 4. She is very sweet, yet very playful too! She is a great barn kitty when she's not busy yelling at someone. She loves to stalk everything in sight, including dogs! She is very brave, which usually gets her in a lot of trouble. Morgan is much loved by everyone at Castle Farm.
